Jacob Lawrence Gallery

When the Jacob Lawrence Gallery was given a major physical overhaul, UW’s School of Art + Art History + Design realized that the gallery was also long overdue for a rebrand. Kristine Matthews worked with Design senior Kaito Gengo to develop a new logo, typeface, and naming convention, embracing the long-loved nickname “The Jake”. Posters advertised the first exhibitions to launch the refreshed gallery: first Industry, then Idleness. See what’s up in The Jake here.
